Historical Notes

The 1835 publication date is approximate. John Cole began selling sheet music in 1821 and had sold off his secular plates by 1839 to Frederick W. Benteen.

The Robert Burns' song "Willie Brew'd A Peck O' Maut" is a celebration of drink.
